Will you take up the cause of the Vikings and restore their world today? I love TMG, so thanks for this fun little game. One thing that would make it better is to get rid of the click through dialogue.
I'd like a button so all dialogue can be turned off, but other than that, I'm really enjoying this one. I have a very slow connection and can't download lot of the bigger games, so these small ones are great.Moderator Comment.Thank you for your feedback Angel. #18Loving this game! Thanks, Alawar!
I suspect I'll be buying more games in this series, if they're available. This shouldn't be classified 'Time Management' - you can take half an hour to go through a level without being timed-out if you want to diddle around - so, 'Quest Journey' or something? Those Viking brothers are typical guys: they loll around grinning while the workers do all the work;-).Moderator Comment.More like a simple strategy game:) Thanks for your feedback Mac.:). I've clicked every where possible.Moderator Comment.Hi Suzanne, it may be the resolution you are playing the game in.
Try playing the level in windowed mode; if that doesn't solve the problem try a different resolution, at least to get past the part you have been stuck on. These games rely on what is called a collision mesh.
When you click on the area associated with the mesh it instigates a series of commands that results in the outcome you are wanting. Sometimes the resolution you have set may upset these mesh's, usually a result of slack programming.:). It wont let me fish at the dock in Level 6. Not so much anymore. This one quickly downloaded to my Win 10 desktop without any problems and I played the first level.
I don't have enough time to do it justice, but I'll get back to it at a later date.Thank you Stephen and the GGAOTD team for your dedication to this site. Also, a big thanks to Alawar for your many donations since I became aware of this site about 1 1/2 yrs. Ago.Moderator Comment.Thank you Susan.

#11Allan, one of us is confused. I understand Dane + history + Vikings. I understand Origin + Jade Empire + (possibly) China. I hope you realize that the Origin offer has nothing to do with the Vikings game. Whiterabbit is helpfully suggesting alternate sources for free games. None of these sources are required to get today's game which is Viking Brothers from Alawar.I'm sorry to mention this if you already understood it but your mention of Origin and Steam suggested to me that you thought that one of them might be necessary to download today's game.If you didn't realize that and read this too late to download the game, Whiterabbit mentions that you can get it from MyPlayCity or TooMky Games but also gives some warnings.Moderator Comment.;).

I second your thanks to them for a great game. One of the nice things about these games is the artwork, notice in the first screen shot after the notice about the non existent virus how you're playing on the back of a crocodile, just one of the many ways the artists for these games make them more enjoyable. Look closely at the games and you'll find more 'hidden art' fun.I own all of these games and as you, I find them a help with my chronic pain, rather than relying on more pills.Thank you Stephen for your moderation duties.
I did download, less than 1 minute on a cable modem, to a WIN 8.1 64 bit HP laptop, and played the game with no problems. I own it already, and have played it on a WIN 7 PRO 64 bit laptop.Hope your week is filled with happiness and great games. I'm addicted to popping balloons thanks to something I saw here about a sale on Steam. Tower defense fanatic that I am I've been playing BTD5 which I know you can play free but Firefox and Flash don't get along well and I'm tired of crashing out of the game and that doesn't happen on Steam.Moderator Comment.Thank you for your comment Ilap.s. I love Tower Defense games. Together with breakouts and shmup's they are my favorite arcade/indie games:).

#9For some constructive comments. Love the fish swimming in the water (a very nice touch). Would like to have the bonuses available of being able to earn the ability to run faster, work faster, freeze time, that type of thing.
Love the pop up land on a fairly early level, the one where you are building the bridge. That was a nice surprise. This game is another very well designed game by alawar.Moderator Comment.Thank you for your feedback:). For some constructive comments.

I am a time management fan myself. Why are the time management games so few and far between? Serious question. Are they harder to design than the hidden object games or is there just less of a demand for them?Anyhow, thanks so much for this one.
I will enjoy it! Love this site, and thanks WhiteRabbit for what you do.Moderator Comment.I think there is less of a demand for them. Several years ago TM games were one of the most popular genres, but HOG's have ruled the roost since then:). Always a big fan of alawar games. Have bought many of them. Swab the plank or you will walk the deck!' Wait, switch that.
Wait X2, that's not Vikings.Thor's a Viking, right? I don't like Thor; he's a mewling quim. So, I don't like Vikings. Vikings are uncool.I've never played a TM game that I really enjoyed. I can't imagine this one would be any different. Work is work.
Play is play. Work is NOT play!Still, for some reason, it reminds me of Settlers of Catan - the best board game never to get bored with while playing. I'm going to wind up (like a Jack in the Box) downloading this game anyway.Until next time, White Rabbit, may you never hear the word 'ETERMENATE!' Spoken behind your back. Or to your face. Or off to the side either.Moderator Comment.:).

I'm not that much into gaming. I simply don't have the time for big games. However, I have Steam, but that won't do today. Happy weekend and thanks again for doing such a great effort to keep the game section alive. You can also find forum discussions and more mini reviews over on Steam and iWin. (I purchased the game via Steam when it was released so was able to check the game for a couple of hours with no issues)The Game:The story of restore the prosperity of the kingdom is surely nothing we haven't seen before so we are not going to touch on that aspect.
The visuals and audio aspects are great; graphics are colorful and attractive, locations and scenes are very well crafted and interesting to look at while the music is charming and not irritating. However, we found that sometimes objects in the scenes are a little too small. The gameplay of Viking Brothers is simple and very typical for a Strategy/Time Management game.
You collect necessary resources, clear paths, build this and that add workers and so on, you can also queue up your task queue. There are a decent amount of conversations going on in the game which makes the game not as boring as expected; but still, some innovations would be deeply appreciated! There is only one mode of gameplay in this game; but for those who do not want to race against the timer, you can still continue the game after the timer ran out. Some levels are very challenging if you try to achieve the gold medal.
Being said so, there are 50 levels but most of the levels are fairly short - when added up, the game is not very long.In conclusion, Viking Brothers is a fun enough Time Management game with great theme, other than that, there is nothing worth mentioning.Reference accessed 16th Jan 2016Video and Slideshow:You can see a slideshow of about 60 images.
